Mined in the Pacific Northwest, this American Mined™ Oregon Champagne Sunstone™ displays a light, champagne-like color and bright clarity with few inclusions. This bright, attractive gemstone is just the thing to highlight gemstone-set jewelry designs. This variety of sunstone is a plagioclase feldspar composed of a mixture of calcium and sodium. The relative hardness of sunstone makes it best suited for jewelry items that do not see heavy wear, such as pendants, earrings or brooches.
