Foredom® MALC15 Lighted Work Chamber with Magnification

A great addition to the bench of a jeweler, carver, designer or custom fabricator, this lighted work chamber from Foredom® helps keep dust and debris contained while you're performing grinding, sanding, polishing and drilling tasks. The chamber offers a clear view of the work, brilliant illumination, magnification when needed for those fine details, arm rests to support wrists, and connectivity to compressed air and almost any dust collector. Work in comfort while keeping your work environment cleaner and safer. Collecting scrap and sweeps is much easier, too. The compact, semi-enclosed unit is designed for use with compressed air and dust collection. It features a compressed air nozzle with variable air flow up to 90psi (6 bars). The air nozzle pivots to funnel dust and debris away from the workpiece, through the back of the chamber, and into a dust collection system. An inlet for connecting 4mm compressed air tubing includes an adapter that accommodates tubing from 4-6mm. Quick-connect couplings are readily available to fit specific air systems. The vacuum port on the back of the chamber accommodates a 2-1/4"-diameter hose for connection to a dust collector, shop vac or other dust collection system. The 2-pin style plug outlet on the back is used for connecting dust collectors with remote on/off switches. When the remote connection is in use, the front power button activates both the LED light and the dust collection system. The unit includes:

• A bright LED light that tilts to focus where needed.
• A 2.5X magnifying lens with a 10X insert for closer work, 5" diameter The magnifier flips up and out of the way when not needed.
• Two hinged polycarbonate shields to help to contain dust and debris, and a removable watertight tray that holds spillage when working with water or other lubricants. The chamber carries a 2-year manufacturer's warranty.
