Made in France from compressed, non-woven aluminum oxide fibers that are layered into flaps set around a circular hub made of plastic, this flap wheel is prized for the beautiful satin finish it creates. Because of the way it is made, each wheel is impressively durable and is effective on gold, silver, platinum and palladium as well as on base metals including brass, copper, titanium, pewter, tin, steel, iron and aluminum. Ready to use right out of the box, this wheel needs no compound. Mount the wheel on a tapered spindle (hole tapers from 10mm to 6mm) in a polishing motor/lathe and run between 1,400rpm and 2,800rpm.
