This sterling silver fold-over clasp features a squeeze-release design that makes it easy to use and more secure—it has a spring-loaded closure that is pushed to release the hinged part of the clasp. Attachment bars (8.8 x 2.8mm ID) allow you to add multiple strands or to use the clasp for ribbon or wide cord. String cord or ribbon through the attach ring and secure it with rivets, epoxy or stitching. Repeat to attach the opposite end to the free attach ring. A fold-over clasp is a hinged, one-piece clasp that folds open to accept the end ring on your strand, then folds closed, snapping in place to hold the strand securely closed. Though fairly lightweight, it is a strong clasp, ideal for beaded strands and link chain designs.
