Grooved Stone-Setting Pliers

These grooved stone-setting pliers have specially designed jaws that make them ideal for setting stones in earrings. The jaws on stone-setting pliers are shaped—often grooved, angled or notched—to provide easy access to prongs. The upper jaw of these pliers has a groove running lengthwise and a notch on the underside, both perfect for catching and holding an earring setting so the prongs rest against the lower, flat jaw.
