This dead-soft, .950 platinum half-round wire offers a flat surface that makes it great for wire-wrapping on flat components and helps makes soldering more effective while presenting a round profile in your designs. The wire is great for creating loops, links and jump rings that have a flat inner surface. Dead soft wire is easy to bend, shape and hammer; it is an ideal starting point for forming, shaping and wire-wrapping. Keep in mind that hardness is changeable (by annealing or heat-hardening) and is relative among metal types (each temper will feel and handle differently from one metal to another).
