This sterling silver hook & eye clasp features a true-to-life textured snake head and tail design, creating an eye-catching clasp suited for bold necklace and bracelet designs. The design is oxidized to intensify the three-dimensional detailing; when closed, the snake seems to hold its tail in its mouth. A tie-off bar inside the tail (hook) and head (eye) components allows you to quickly and easily complete your design. Add an oval jump ring to create space around the clasp, if needed. Hook & eye clasps are two part clasps that close by hooking one side (the hook) to a large closed ring (the eye). They tend to be larger than other clasp types and are ideal for larger designs, bead strands or bib-style necklaces. The open hook relies on the necklace having enough weight to keep the clasp secure.
