Forming Flat and Round-Nose Pliers

These forming pliers feature one flat and one round tapered jaw, ideal for making a wide variety of bends in wire or flat stock. The tips are extra fine, making them ideal for precise, fine work. Bend the wire against the flat jaw to create wider, broader bends or to make angled bends; form the wire around the round jaw to make loops, jump rings, coils and sharper curves. Forming pliers have a variety of jaw configurations designed to maximize the ability to bend, shape or form wire, strip and sheet. Use these pliers to bend ring shanks, shape ear wires or loop wire.

• These pliers have a box spring; one half of the joint surrounds the other and the pivot is contained within. This joint holds its alignment far longer than a lap joint but allows the tool to open only as far as the box size.
• The double-leaf spring consists of flat, tempered metal tabs attached to the inside of each of the tool handles, positioned to meet and hold the handles apart (and the jaws open) until they are squeezed closed, delivering a fast, strong rebound for improved productivity.
