This full-hard, sterling silver bezel strip is an economical way to get just the right amount of material in the gauges you need. This strip is useful for forming custom-shaped or larger bezel mountings or for making bezel backings for small stones. Hard sterling silver is significantly work-hardened and, though it does not bend readily, it stubbornly holds its shape after forming; it is ideal for clasps and hinges. Keep in mind that hardness is changeable (by annealing or heat-hardening) and is relative among metal types (each temper will feel and handle differently from one metal to another). This strip is packaged in coils and can be cut to any length that satisfies the system minimum.
