This 14-karat vermeil S-hook clasp features a simple, classic shape with an oval bead detail at its center. It is ideal for securing necklace or bracelet designs made with vermeil, plated or filled-metal components. To complete the clasp, attach plain or decorative rings to both ends of your completed design, then slide the ends of the S-hook through the rings. An 'S'-hook is a one-piece clasp, shaped like the letter 's' that simply hooks onto the end rings of the necklace or bead strand design. This clasp is ideal for less-expensive pieces that have enough weight to help keep the rings in place on the hook. This vermeil clasp allows you to offer your customers the look of yellow gold at a more attractive price point. Made of precious metal but more affordable than solid gold, vermeil items offer the thickest layer of gold available—2.5 microns, which is 5 times the thickness of typical gold plating.
