Freshwater Cultured 6–6.5mm Round Pearl Strand, Gray, A-Grade

The A-grade freshwater cultured pearls on this strand feature a dove-gray color and semi-round shape that looks good when used in a variety of designs. Use these pearls for a single-color design or split-up the strand and combine them with other colors of pearls and gemstone beads for multi-color looks. Highlight the luster by setting the pearls in silver or add contrast to custom designs by combining it with yellow-gold findings. Freshwater cultured pearls are cultivated in fresh water from mussels, often the triangle shell mussel (Hyriopsis cumingii), that are specially selected for their prolific production of nacre. It is not unusual for a single mussel to produce multiple pearls simultaneously. According to one legend, the pearl was formed from the tears of the goddess of love. For many, pearls are a symbol of pure heart and mind, honesty and integrity. A-grade pearls feature surfaces that show a few insignificant blemishes. Their luster is good, exhibiting some depth. Each package contains one temporarily strung 15"–16" strand.
