These affordable, heavy-duty steel shears are designed for cutting sheet stock and solder up to 16-gauge thick. Shears operate like scissors, with blades that smoothly bypass one another as they cut, but have a more robust construction ideal for cutting metal sheet; straight-blade shears are perfect for cutting fine, straight lines. These shears are made of hardened tool steel, a very hard strong material for cutters; the jaws will not be nicked or misshapen with normal use. Clean with Cosmoline® or a similar protectant; avoid contact with moisture.
