This sterling silver crimp-style hook & eye clasp accommodates two-strand designs and features a bright finish and ridged details—it is ideal for use with 2mm rubber or leather cord. To use insert the cords into each end of the clasp and crimp the center of the clasp to secure it in place. The clasp has an oxidized finish. Hook & eye clasps are two part clasps that close by hooking one side (the hook) to a large closed ring (the eye). They tend to be larger than other clasp types and are ideal for larger designs, bead strands or bib-style necklaces. The open hook relies on the necklace having enough weight to keep the clasp secure.
