14K Yellow Gold Sheet

This soft, 14-karat yellow gold sheet is suitable for photo etching and offers the benefit of having fabrication metal ready when you need it; keep sheet on hand and custom-cut it to the exact size and shape your design requires. Soft sheet is easy to bend, shape and hammer; it is an ideal starting point for forming and shaping. Keep in mind that hardness is changeable (by annealing or heat-hardening) and is relative among metal types (each temper will feel and handle differently from one metal to another). When finishing your pieces, also keep in mind that the harder the metal is, the brighter a finish it will take. This sheet features a bright shiny finish. 14-gauge sheet is useful for substantial or heavy jewelry, accessories and hollowware or any design that demands high durability. As you know, metal sheet has as many uses as there are jewelers and designers who use it to achieve their vision; these suggested uses simply represent some of the more common applications of this metal weight. This yellow gold sheet can be ordered in sizes up to 6" x 6" (larger dimensions can be special ordered); due to the cutting capabilities of the shear, minimum purchase is 1" x 1/2".
