Garnet Round Bead Strand

The round red garnet beads on this strand feature a deep, transparent reddish-purple color; a great addition to strung designs in a variety of jewel-tone colors. Round beads are a staple of strung designs and look good when simply strung on their own or used individually as separators or accents. Use these beads to create a single-strand necklace or bracelet or play-up the red color by combing them them with crystal quartz or other colors of gemstone and metal beads to create more complex necklace, bracelet or earring designs. Garnet is the birthstone for January. Traditional red garnet derives its deep color from iron and magnesium. Garnets are actually a family of closely related stones. The most common color is red; but garnets are also found in green, orange, pink and blue. Garnet exhibits few inclusions, and those that are present tend to be rounded, seedlike crystals with irregular edges. Each package contains one temporarily strung 15"–16" strand.
