Bow-Opening Pliers

These pliers are designed to open most sizes of bows, links and rings without effort and without overly distorting the ring. Unlike traditional pliers, the jaws of bow-opening pliers open smoothly and evenly as you squeeze the handles. The grooves on the outer edge of the jaws hold the ring to minimize slipping; the jaws open smoothly and evenly, exerting pressure on the ring to force it open.

• An interlocking double-leaf spring holds the pliers closed for convenient reverse action; the jaws open smoothly and evenly as you squeeze the handles. The double-leaf spring consists of flat, tempered metal tabs attached to the inside of each handle, positioned to meet and hold the handles apart (and the jaws open) until they are squeezed closed. The spring delivers a fast, strong rebound for improved productivity.
