Whaley Hand Vise

The Whaley hand vise provides a strong, secure grip on wire to help cut or shape wire neatly, easily and repeatably. The vise has a steel three-jaw Jabobs-style chuck that closes firmly around wire without crushing or marring. The handle of the vise is drilled completely through, lengthwise, allowing you to feed even long wires through the chuck, exposing only the length you need to work on. The vise is ideal, in partnership with your bench vise, for pulling wire to tighten the wire or to straighten out bends or kinks, and for twisting two or more wires together to create twist wire. Use two Whaley vises simultaneously to form heavier-gauge wire around a mandrel to create rings or bracelets without hammering. The textured chuck ensures a secure grip while opening and closing the jaws; the contoured, smoothly finished hardwood handle is comfortable in your hand and helps ensure a firm grip as you maneuver your wire.
