This kit delivers everything you need to begin casting, including the V.I.C.™ 9 casting machine, designed for the small shop or custom jeweler who prefers manually operated equipment, and a Rio guillotine-style circulating air oven with a built-in Sentry programmable controller. This oven offers a more efficient, firebrick interior that heats more evenly and is roomier to hold more flasks. The system also includes a 3cfm, 1/2hp direct-drive vacuum pump. Vacuum technology provides superior bubble elimination for cleaner investment molds; vacuum casting produces better, more consistent results than centrifugal casting. It cuts down on spillage which can occur in centrifugal casting and it reduces gas inclusions, lowering the risk of casting defects.
