This sterling silver pendant features a cabochon mounting with four prongs that hold one 30 x 22mm oval cabochon or other flat-back stone. For a custom pendant design, attach any style of bail to the fixed ring at the top of the mounting and string the pendant onto a chain or cord. This cabochon mounting features a flat, open base and raised edges; the open back reduces the overall metal weight, making it cost-effective. Set your cabochon into the mounting, then burnish the prongs over the stone to secure it in place.
