Fretz® M-103 Flat Mushroom Forming Stake

This flat mushroom forming stake from Fretz® is extremely useful for forging heavy-gauge wire and serves very well for any application that needs a flat surface. You can use this stake as a miniature anvil, or a planishing surface. Used with an extension stake to increase its clearance, it’s ideal for forming the bottom of small hollowware pieces. Stakes provide a surface under (or inside) the metal that enhances the work of the hammer in creating a wide variety of curves, folds and shapes.
