This Argentium® Silver tube crimp bead is durable and provides a secure finish on strung designs made with tigertail, foxtail, Beadalon® or any other wire stringing material. Crimp beads are short, thin-walled tube-style beads ideal for securing wire and cord without having to tie knots. The wire goes through the bead, then through the clasp or other finding, and back through the bead.To secure the bead, crimp it snugly onto the wire using specially designed pliers that neatly flatten and fold the bead without crushing it. Choose a crimp with a inside diameter that will accommodate at least two thicknesses of the cord/wire you will be using, and more if you will be working with double or triple strands.Made with a touch of germanium, Argentium® Silver presents a bright-white color that is closer to fine silver than traditional sterling, yet is highly resistant to firescale and less likely to tarnish under most conditions.
