Bonny Doon Coining Die

Quickly achieve exquisite detail, finish, and strength with this coining die from Bonny Doon. The precision die is crafted in Taos, New Mexico, out of hardened and tempered tool steel (51 HRC). The die is designed for use in your hydraulic press (use only as much pressure as needed, generally around 20 tons). Using a 5/8" diameter disc (18 gauge minimum), the die helps you quickly make thousands of stamped pieces with ease—ideal starting points for earrings, pendants, and more; incorporate gemstones or other components to make custom designs. This die can be used with your Swanstrom round disc cutter (112509, available separately). This coining die can be used with most with most formable precious metals, including niobium. The instructions (included) give exact specifications, such as what gauge is needed and other details to ensure you achieve the best results. Coining is a technique that requires use of a thicker metal to flow into the die, giving you unmatched detail.
