This sterling silver floating pendant mounting features an open twist teardrop design with a pearl peg mounting that sits inside the bottom of the teardrop. The twist peg holds one half-drilled pearl or gemstone bead (8.5mm, max.). A floating pendant is designed so that the chain or cord threads through the pendant itself so that no distinct bail feature is needed; the pendant slides freely, appearing to 'float' along the strand. Use jeweler’s epoxy to secure the bead or pearl on the peg; the twisted peg increases the surface area for the epoxy and provide a more secure hold.
