This 14-karat yellow gold pendant features a classic round basket-style mounting with a rabbit-ear bail. The 4-prong mounting holds one 6mm (0.84-ct., approx.) round faceted gemstone. Basket settings feature open sides designed to allow more light to reach and move through the stone, enhancing its brightness and brilliance. A rabbit-ear bail is a tapered style that is split in half vertically, giving it the appearance of a pair of long, curving rabbit ears. Set your cameo, cabochon or faceted gemstone into the mounting, then burnish the prongs over the stone to secure it in place; cut a seat in each prong if needed.
