This button-style 14/20 yellow gold-filled safety clasp features an open floral filigree design and a bright finish. Designed for single-strand use, this secure closure is ideal for light- to medium-weight necklaces and bracelets. Safety clasps (also called pearl clasps) feature two parts that connect in two different ways, providing a fail-safe that helps prevent loss of higher-value necklaces or strands and are ideal for pearl and gemstone strands. The interior part of the clasp is a slender hook with notches along the outer edge; the exterior part is hollow except for a locking bar.
