This sterling silver ring mounting features a rope-edge tapered shank with an open filigree leaf design and a scalloped bezel mounting that holds one 16 x 12mm oval cabochon—when set, the stone is visible in the open scallops. A wide rim inside the walls supports the stone and reduces metal weight, making the mounting more affordable. The ring is oxidized to enhance the details. Use traditional setting techniques to set the stone in the mounting. Place your stone in the bezel and push the walls inward over the stone, holding it in place. For added security, if desired, place a drop or two of jeweler's epoxy along the rim before placing the stone. Manufactured to exacting quality standards in our solar-powered facility.
