Made from nanogem, this oval faceted gemstone displays a vibrant lime-green color and offers an economical alternative to peridot, the birthstone for August. Highlight its eye-catching color by using it for a custom pendant design or partner it with complementary-color simulated or natural gemstones in a bold, multicolor necklace, ring or brooch. The oval cut is an even, symmetrical shape but elongated. The arrangement of its facets is similar to that of a round brilliant, designed to maximize light and color. Nanogems are man-made, glass-ceramic material containing nano-sized crystals of spinel within its matrix. These stones have exceptional physical and optical properties with a more uniform color than CZs, synthetic quartz or synthetic corundum, and a hardness, reflective index and luster that is very close to natural gemstones.
