Four double-prong accents serve as prongs and augment the cab mounting. Cabochon mountings feature a flat, sometimes open, base and raised edges with two to four prongs that hold a cameo or cabochon securely in place. Set your cameo or cabochon into the mounting, then burnish the prongs over the stone to secure it in place.
