Crazy-8 is the same width as half-round 8-gauge wire, but the walls are higher before the wire domes. This high-quality wire is ideal for creating ring shanks because its slightly rounded corners make a substantial shank that fits comfortably and has a smooth finish. Dead soft wire is easy to bend, shape and hammer; it is an ideal starting point for forming, shaping and wire-wrapping. Keep in mind that hardness is changeable by annealing, heat-hardening or work-hardening. This wire is packaged in coils.
