This cast-iron pitch bowl features a generous depth and includes a fitted rubber base with a ridged underside to a ensure a non-slip foundation. Pitch bowls are excellent for engraving, chasing or repoussé tasks; the best pitch holding device for these tasks should be heavy and rotatable. Sufficient weight ensures that the workpiece stays in place under the pressure of whatever forming tools are used for shaping the metal. The ability to rotate smoothly provides full and easy access to the workpiece from all sides.
