This platinum setting holds one 8.6mm round faceted gemstone. A low-base setting holds the gemstone close to the surface of the design, presenting a unified look for the overall design. The 6-prong setting offers extra security for large or high-value gemstones. Use peg settings in ring shanks with a hole; they allow you to be more accurate, clean and quick when positioning the setting on the shank. If desired, clip the peg to use the setting with other ring shanks or components.
