This flywheel, made with a chip of industrial-grade diamond set into a 3/8"H head, is suitable for creating bright cuts on jewelry pieces. Because they must be run at a consistent speed between 35,000 and 40,000rpm, we recommend you use a Foredom® 35 speed-increasing handpiece or a micro-motor. Higher speeds and steady handling of the tools provide longer life of the diamond. Diamond flywheels are designed for skilled professional use; if you’re not experienced with diamond flywheels, we strongly recommend that you begin with a carbide practice tip. This will allow you to practice without risking damage to valuable diamond flywheels.
