Compact, solid-state unit takes up very little bench space. Specifically designed to permanently fuse solder-filled jump rings (not suitable for other standard soldering jobs). The electrical current that runs through the charged graphite electrode heats the solder core so it flows into the jump ring seam, leaving less to clean up. Extremely localized, adjustable heat won't damage most stones.
