This dead-soft, 10-karat nickel-based white gold round wire, the bread-&-butter of jewelry making, is ideal for creating components and for a wide variety of techniques. 20-gauge wire is a good all-purpose weight; it is useful for head pins, jump rings, cuff and wire bracelets, neck wires, ear wires, earring posts and rivets. Dead soft wire is easy to bend, shape and hammer; it is an ideal starting point for forming, shaping and wire-wrapping. Keep in mind that hardness is changeable by annealing, heat-hardening or work-hardening. This wire is packaged in coils and can be cut to any length that satisfies the system minimum.
