This amethyst saucer bead features a deep purple color with a unique pattern of inclusions, giving each bead an individual look. Saucer beads are ideal as spacers between larger round or special shaped beads and are great components in drop and dangle designs. Each bead is hand-cut; size will vary slightly. Amethyst is the best known and most valuable form of quartz. The light-to-dark purple color of natural amethyst is caused by iron or manganese compound impurities in the mineral and can range from a watercolor pale pink to a dark, almost opaque, purple.
