Multi-Stone Mosaic 25 x Oval Cabochon

Set with black onyx and white mother-of-pearl, this oval mosaic cabochon offers a monochromatic appearance. Named for its resemblance to the finish and color of pearls, mother-of-pearl cabochons are made from the hard, iridescent material that forms on the inside of some shells and shellfish. Onyx, a type of opaque chalcedony, is naturally black and is generally dyed to achieve a more uniform color—it is the most common black gemstone and is popular for creating a striking centerpiece and for adding contrast to designs that include lighter and/or more colorful gems.
