After texturing your metal, use a smooth-faced hammer to give the texture a shimmer effect. While almost any hammer can be used to create texture on metal, texturing hammers are specially designed for the purpose of creating attractive and unusual textures on your jewelry designs; the pattern on the hammer face is transferred to the metal with every strike. Designed by Bill Fretz, this jeweler's hammer is built for toughness and durability. The oil-finished handle is made of Padauk wood, known for its strength, stability and beauty; the handle specially shaped to give you a light touch, and the thin neck flexes slightly as you hammer for ultimate comfort. The head is cast from 420-grade stainless steel and tool hardened to 50 HRC for maximum durability and effectiveness.
