Morganite Pear Faceted Gemstone

The pale peach-pink color, clarity and durability of this pear-cut faceted morganite make it an ideal complement to a wide variety of jewelry styles. The color of the gemstone pairs well with both white metals and rose gold; set it alone in a simple setting, in pairs or clusters of morganite or in combination with gemstones in complementary colors. Morganite, a member of the beryl family, owes its color to the presence of manganese (or cesium) in the gemstone. The color of the gemstones may range from rose pink to purplish-pink to peach—even to an orange-pink. Morganite gemstones tend to be free of inclusions and very clear. The pear cut is a hybrid of the oval and marquise cuts; it is usually oriented with the point uppermost.
