This 14-karat white gold ring mounting features a double-prong basket mounting that holds one 4.4mm (0.33-ct., approx.) round faceted gemstone. A variation on a classic 4-prong setting, which supports the gemstone on four sides, the double prongs create eight contact points for added security for your center stone. The basket setting features open sides designed to allow more light to reach and move through the stone, enhancing its brightness and brilliance. The shank is set with 6 0.02-ct. round diamonds (SI clarity/G, H color; 0.12CTTW), three on each side of the center mounting, creating a triangle shape that transitions into the shank. The shank on this ring tapers from 2mm to 1mm. Cut a seat in the prongs to accommodate your stone, then burnish the prongs over the stone to secure it in place.
