Chain-Nose Pliers for Hot Spot® Jump Ring Soldering Machine

These chain-nose pliers (NR3189) are a replacement for the chain-nose pliers attachment that comes with the Hot Spot® Jump Ring Soldering Machine; replace the attachment when worn to keep your Hot Spot operating at peak efficiency. Use the pliers to hold jump rings in place while soldering the join. On chain-nose pliers, both jaws are semi-round with flat interior surfaces, tapering to a point from the pivot to the tip. The smooth interior surface of the jaws helps prevent any marring of the surface of the jump ring.

• These pliers have a lap joint; one half of the joint overlaps the other, and a screw is set through both halves. The screw allows the joint to be adjusted as needed.
• The double-leaf spring consists of flat, tempered metal tabs attached to the inside of each of the tool handles, positioned to meet and hold the handles apart (and the jaws open) until they are squeezed closed, delivering a fast, strong rebound for improved productivity.
