Exclusively from Gemlogis, the Vista diamond segregator differentiates between earth-mined and Type IIa (lab-grown HPHT and CVD) white diamonds; the tester accommodates melee and gemstones 0.02-ct. and larger. Unique to this tester, short-wave ultraviolet (SWUV) technology measures the light reflected by the stone, rather than light simply transmitted by the stone, for a more precise, dependable result. The Vista is effective for both loose and set diamonds—even when they're set in closed-back mountings. When tested by Project ASSURE, the Vista achieved a 100% synthetic diamond referral rate with zero false positives.

The stone-holding wheel below the probe accommodates a variety of stone sizes; simply turn the wheel to bring the most appropriate divot size to the top, centered below the probe. Use the spring-loaded slides on each side of the tester to pull the wheel down, giving you room to place the stone, then gently release the slides to bring the stone into contact with the probe. • Set rings onto the wheel with the stone to be tested at the top.
• Lay bracelets across the wheel with the stone uppermost.
• Set earring styles into the slot in the wheel to hold them steady during testing. To test, close the tester lid and press the power button once to test the stone. Designated lights on the lid quickly indicate whether the stone is earth-mined (diamond) or type IIa (lab-grown, including HPHT and CVD).
