Glardon Vallorbe® Micro Round File, #4

This Glardon Vallorbe® micro round (rat-tail) file is designed to be used with your flexshaft with lapping action in a hammer handpiece (1/8" shank) and is ideal for working efficiently in small, detailed, hard-to-reach places. If desired, the file can also be used by hand. It's a great choice for enlarging small holes and cleaning out tubing or other small, concave curved surfaces. The file is slightly tapered, and the entire surface of the file has double-cut teeth. This file has a Swiss cut #4; Swiss-cut files are graded by the number of teeth, counting teeth perpendicular to the long axis of the file. In all cut styles, the higher the number, the finer its cut. A double-cut file features two sets of evenly spaced teeth set in two directions, one at a slightly different angle than the other. Double-cut files are designed to cut more aggressively, maximizing the work of each stroke to remove more metal with fewer strokes. The first choice for most jewelers, Glardon Vallorbe® files are manufactured to the highest production standards, made in Switzerland of the finest heat-tempered chrome-alloy steel, hardened to 65 HRC.
