This 14-karat yellow gold pendant features an open teardrop design with a pearl peg mounting inside the bottom of the teardrop. The bail is domed and tapered and allows the teardrop to move freely. Use jeweler’s epoxy to secure the pearl or gem ball on the peg; the twisted peg increases the surface area for the epoxy and provide a more secure hold. The mounting accommodates half-drilled pearl or bead up to 9mm in diameter.
