This soft fine silver seamless extruded heavy-wall tubing is ideal for larger hinges and for creating customer tube settings; this size fits a 5mm stone. Choose a section of heavy-wall tubing with an outside diameter about 0.5mm larger than your stone, and enough thickness to allow you to cut a seat to support the stone. Soft fine silver tubing is easy to bend, shape and hammer; it is an ideal starting point for forming, shaping and wire-wrapping. Hardness is changeable by annealing or work-hardening and is relative among metal types (each temper will feel and handle differently from one metal to another). When finishing your pieces, also keep in mind that the harder the metal is, the brighter a finish it will take. This tubing is packaged in pre-cut 12" lengths; minimum order is 1 piece.
