This Argentium® Silver bezel cup component mounting features walls modeled from decorative gallery wire and holds one 8mm round cabochon, cameo or other flat-back stone. A wide rim inside the walls supports the stone and reduces metal weight, making the mounting more affordable. Add any bail style to the the attach ring to create a pendant, or use a jump ring or split ring to create an earring drop, dangle or charm. Bezel cups provide an easy way to set your stones and finish with clean lines and professional-looking results. Place your stone in the bezel and push the walls inward over the stone, holding it in place. For added security, if desired, place a drop or two of jeweler's epoxy in the cup before placing the stone. Made with a touch of germanium, Argentium® Silver presents a bright-white color that is closer to fine silver than traditional sterling, yet is highly resistant to firescale and less likely to tarnish under most conditions.
