Swanstrom Multi-Purpose Forming Anvil

This Swanstrom multi-purpose anvil offers the ideal work surface for smaller forming tasks. It provides an interchangeable flat top surface and interchangeable mandrels that are designed for a variety of shaping needs. The anvil is ideal for shaping rings and slim bracelets and forming curved components for drops or dangles. Two stepped and two tapered mandrel shapes are included. Mandrels are easily attached by a screw that is tightened from the opposite end of the anvil by an Allen wrench. The anvil is portable, just the thing for trade shows or demonstrations in the shop, classroom or on the road. If desired, the anvil can be permanently attached to your bench using the pre-drilled mounting holes on its base. Two Allen wrenches and mounting bolts are included. The flat top plate and forming mandrels are made from hardened tool steel, ensuring a long life. Patent pending. In addition, two adapters are available (not included) that further expand the versatility of the Swanstrom multi-purpose anvil. The universal adapter holds a variety of tools and holders (such as those that hold Fretz stakes) that require either one- or two-bolt attachments. It is ideal for use with Fretz forming tools and stake holders; please be aware that tools normally requiring a holder will still require a holder. Simply secure the appropraite holder in the universal adapter, then insert the desired tool. The small-tool adapter accepts a variety of small convertible forming tools, such as the Bonny Doon ring-forming split-die pairs; secure the adapter in the anvil, then attach the tool you want to the adapter.
